Write a composition (100-150 words) to introduce yourself to the teacher.
- Write about your town / city / country of origin, family, job you would like to have, friends, interests, hobbies, favourites (TV programs/series, music, school subjects, sports…etc.), things you don't like...
- Write about your summer holidays. Where did you go? What was it like? Who did you go with? What did you do? How did you feel?
- Explain what your expectations for the new school year are, activities that you would like to do and suggestions for the teacher with regard to the topics you’re interested in.

- A Convict's Tale, by Julie Hart. Burlington Books, Activity Series.
England in 1797 is a hard place for poor people. Ann Telford, 14, and her brother William, 11, are imprisoned in Durham Jail. Her crime? Stealing food for her brother and herself. Conditions in the jail are terrible and the children are sentenced to seven long and difficult years there. Then, Ann's fortunes change and she finds herself on a ship bound for Australia with other convicts. Ann has got an unusual skill for a girl at that time - she can read and write. How will this help her in the New World?

A young English lawyer called Jonathan Harker enters the terrifying world of the vampire Count Dracula. As he is travelling to Dracula's castle on legal business, he is warned by the locals not to go there because evil things will happen. But Jonathan ignores the warnings and arrives at the castle, unprepared for the nightmare ahead. When Jonathan discovers the identity of the mysterious Count, he knows that he is in danger. He realises that he has become a prisoner in the castle and that Dracula must be destroyed. And the war of good against evil begins...

Jody and Jonathan Kelly, 16, come to Spain because of their father's new job. Jonathan is telepathic and has got a bad feeling about this change. Jonathan has a sense of danger and it gets stronger in their new home. Then Mr Kelly is falsely accused of sabotage. The twins must help him prove his innocence, but how?

What can a person do when he's pulled between the good and the bad inside him? Instead, the conflict between the two sides of his personality becomes more and more violent. Which side will win?
